    Good Evening, Folks!

Lotta down time coming up, it appears. Let’s discuss another hypothetical while we wait for some more substantial news.

IF you could choose ONE recruit that we were legitimately connected to, to come to Butler instead of another school, who would you choose?

Who would have made the biggest impact?
Is there a recruit who would have helped us open a "pipeline" of sorts?
Is there a role player that would have gotten a past team over the hump?

I feel that a popular choice will be Cody Zeller, but curious what the bigbrains on the BU Hoops board think.

Agree Zeller is probably the number one answer. For the sake of being different, I’ll say Kyle Guy.

Some others off the tip of my head:
    Payton Pritchard
    Demetrius Jackson
    Aaron Henry
    Desmond Bane

Luke Zeller would have made a huge impact at BU. His impact at ND was hardly noticed. As a top 35 recruit nationally, Luke would have been the BU first Mr. Basketball since Phil Cox back in 1972. BU made his final 5 list. He could have played immediately and developed much more quickly. It could have led to a monumental change of direction in recruiting and been a great fit. In the aftermath, BU sadly wasted it's time in recruiting Cody.

Zak Irvin is one I really, really wanted who we finished 2nd for. Monte Morris is anothdr guy who had Butler in his final 3 who would have been a tremendous get.

Trevon plus Kelan & Wideman in the same recruiting class would have been fairly ridiculous. Imagine that lineup.

That was the one I was leaning towards as well. Not to mention it hurts that school in Cincy too.

Interesting response here. I didn’t start following until Luke was in college, and wasn’t aware he even considered Butler. Are you thinking this would have opened more Indiana kid’s eyes to BU earlier on?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think post-Mike Green we went a decade plus without a starting PG who could shoot from distance? So I would go with Riley LaChance. Kid started all 4 years at Vandy. Career line of 11/3/3 and shot 43/41/83. Getting him wouldn't have formed a Wisconsin pipeline, but I think he would have been in the same class as Kelan...

Also, Ayo Dosunmo was never coming to Butler. We couldn't afford him
