Thanks RLG for posting these games. Fun to watch again for sure. Related to these two games, I read an interesting tidbit on one of the Butler bball Instagram posts that I never realized: the last two times Butler went to the NIT, they made the S16 the following year. Maybe that streak will continue and we'll be laughing at some of these threads at this time next year.

Unfortunately I don't have it anymore...if I did, I would definitely post it.

Yeah, if people think guys are rough on Lavall now they should seen the old yuku board in ‘04-‘05. And honestly some of the gripes were warranted. I do think a Lickliter offense would have been better for this year’s squad though.

Looking at that boxscore- damn I miss watching Rose Jones play in a big game, Kellen Dunham getting hot from 3, Cam Woods going into Dennis Rodman mode, Chrabs being a junkyard dog- and bringing Wideman & Kelan off the bench?? My God that was a talented top 7!! Hard to believe Myles wasn't good enough to start on a mediocre Texas team but was good enough to be the 11th pick in the draft- he's come a long way and I'm glad the Pacers have him

That was my favorite Butler team. Kind of handicapped offensively but they just brought it on defense every single night with basically the same roster as they had the Miller year (plus adding Rose).

On another note, does anyone have the 2011 Pittsburg 2nd round NCAA game?

I’ve looked and looked. The only games I can find are on YouTube 2010 and 2011 sweet 16 and beyond.

I’ll never forget the announcer saying “I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a game end like this in the NCAA tournament.”

God I hope in my lifetime Butler has another run in them like they did in 2010 and 2011.

Anyone not getting that reference should be banned from posting until they have seen that game.

Back in the old days I used to think if we got the last shot in a close game we would win. I still see Zach Hahn sinking a three to beat Cleveland State with a couple of seconds left. I think it was 2007 or 2008. That gave me bragging rights with all the CSU folks I worked with. Lately I worry how we are going to lose or blow a game with time running out. Looking for much better next year.

Wasn't that the game that Gary Waters CSU coach tripped Hayward? Hahn shot was great and the celebration was even better.

Literally the exact same reaction he had to Jones' Gonzaga buzzer beater, which is arguably my favorite part of that play. Not sure how anyone can play it that cool.
