How hot is Holtmann's seat at OSU? I say he's gone. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Doesn't help when you lose to Nebraska (last night) and are now 10 - 8. Six years at Ohio State and after this year they will have experienced double digit losses every year but one (his first). 65% winning percentage won't cut it at OSU, especially if the administration wasn't happy with Matta's performance and fired him. Have never advanced beyond Round of 32 in the Dance. No Big Ten titles, and not even close except for his first year with Matta's players when they finished tied for 2nd. Will give him some credit for lasting as long as he has. Not sure if he signed a five or six year contract but never thought he would fulfill that original contract. Holtmann's success at Butler was clearly due to the fact that he had surrounded himself with an incredible staff. Arguably, all of whom were probably better coaches then him. Never impressed me with his "game" when he spoke and was interviewed at BU. He's gotten exposed at OSU and his "average" performance, especially since his assistants have moved on. With the resources he has had at OSU, no excuses. Average coach. Not Big 6 level. More on the level of Crean. Will probably follow that same path. I'm sure someone at this level will hire him and he'll get exposed again.
Holtmann's fate TBD. My prediction is based on OSU's past actions. I am sure that $$$$ will be a major consideration (that is, alumni contributions and gate receipts and if they are up or down). And then too if they have a viable replacement in mind. Who is the next Columbus wunderkind? Holtmann's record speaks for itself. And at OSU, apparently that is unacceptable. His seat is definitely HOT!
Was Kuwik on Holtmann's staff for a year, or more, at Butler? If yes, was he primarily in charge of the offense? If yes, what did our shot selection look like then? Sent from my SM-G977U using Butler Hoops mobile app
Wouldn't be surprised if O$U hires Beard since when do they care about domestic violence Sent from my SM-G986U using Butler Hoops mobile app

Oof. BYU is the closest game Butler's played this year: a 5 point win on a neutral floor. Butler's other single-digit final score spreads: @ PSU (6 point loss) vs DePaul (8 point win) vs Villanova (8 point win)
You answered my question. I heard something that made me think Kevin was here when Chris was. The rest of the equation doesn't matter because of the snawer to the first question. Thx. Sent from my SM-G977U using Butler Hoops mobile app
That was the first of two losses for Kansas this week. TCU gave them the beating today. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

After watching Georgetown, in the waning minutes of ending the much-publicized losing streak against P5/BE competition, try multiple times to gift-wrap that game back to DePaul, I may need to reevaluate my stance.
