Yeah the reverse curse works. I say Arkansas was getting back in it and a couple minutes later OU takes control back. Great win for them.
They are 0-9 on the season. They were ahead by 3 with 6 seconds to go in the third OT and lost Sent from my iPad using Butler Hoops mobile app
Houston-Alabama was madness at the end. A bunch of college basketball folks on Twitter were fawning over how great a game it was, but at risk of sounding way older than I actually am (and admitting I only watched the last few minutes), it was not good basketball to me. All iso stuff from both teams.
Losing one random road game at the buzzer in a raucous environment to a top 100 team is one thing…getting decidedly handled a few days later to a crappy team on a neutral floor is another. I’m definitely surprised. They’re not as good as I thought.
Early slate though like today's...I'd personally rather watch this. I know I'm in the minority of the typical "sports fan" on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't wager much nfl early either so my eyes are on this game.
NC State is Kenpom #79 and Butler is #85, so I guess crappy is a relatively accurate characterization - in any event PU is still down 7 with 4 minutes to play - they are not as good as everyone thought.
Purdue is now starting to show some life in them. Honestly, sometimes it can be hard to predict how a good team responds when they slip off and face some adversity. I’m sure they weren’t expecting to lose to Rutgers the way they did, and sometimes it can shake you make you forget that you can’t let your foot off the gas against anyone.
OK, looks like you are getting your money's worth - overtime it looks like... In any event it gives LaVall a talking point to the underdawgs for next Saturday's matchup.
Nova is getting smoked. 31 (!) damn points with a minute left in the game...not first half, game. Lordy.
Baylor’s defense against Nova was beyond incredible. Stifling doesn’t even begin to describe how good they were. They put on a clinic. Should be mandatory viewing by every other college team. Never seen anything like it.
6 two pointers and 6 three pointers. Very symetrical... Sent from my SM-G977U using Butler Hoops mobile app
So they didn’t foul up three under six seconds? That didn’t work out for them. All kidding aside, I think an argument could be made that by letting the women’s team fall off a cliff, we are missing on another opportunity to build the Butler brand. The women play UConn’s perennially top-ranked team twice each year. Beating UConn with some regularity (like the men beat Nova) could help go cement Butler’s brand as a destination basketball school. Think Baylor, UConn and the like. All have top mens and womens teams. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
