Blues/Preds, part III, huh Goalie? ;) (I picked Butler, you picked Stanford...so we are on opposite sides...yet again)

Superstition. I’ve picked against us all year long.

And you win again. But I will gladly take a pick’em loss for a Dawgs win.

I suggest this game is a "push" and no points are awarded. Terry traveled to bury a 3 at the end of the half. Take that 3 away, and the Butler covers crowd wins.

Yeah - that was a BS no call. You would think when they were reviewing whether the ball was out in time, they said something to the effect of, “Man, we sure blew that one” to themselves. Glad it did not dictate the outcome.

It was funny when the announcer watched it again in slow-mo and stated it didn't look like there was a travel. Like, what?

I placed my first ever sports bet on this game. I used FanDuel. I broke the cardinal rule of betting on a team you have emotional investment in. I took Butler -3.5. A 3-pointer that should not have counted, as well as, two point blank missed layups really got me. That was my ‘welcome to sports betting’ moment.

My grand daddy was a gambler an a drunk...wonder where I got it from, there you have it. Anyway, he used to always tell me before he died-Never, ever bet on or against Ole Miss. I use that logic with Butler as well. Unless it's an obvious beat (kinda like last year against Marquette one night when the spread was I think 4 or 5) I won't bet for or against. I'll dabble here, but not in real life.

To establish a good credit line/confidence/healthy return, you need to be as objective as possible. Don't fire in on any games where you have a love or a hate rooting interest. Sports gambling is an amazing high/rush. You just have to judge things for what they are and never let emotion play a part.

I appreciate the advice. Still trying to learn the intricacies of how this all works. One piece of advice I was told and that I try to remember: “don’t bet teams - bet the numbers”

I go against the grain just to make it more interesting and always just throw $1 down on Butler moneyline every game. No big deal either way, but I NEVER bet spread with BU.
