I'm shocked, shocked even at his suggestion. Sure didn't see this coming. Not. Bottom line, Trump has no power to delay the election. Only congress. This will never happen. Trump knows he's going down so he will be trying anything and everything to stay in power. Wonder if we'll see storm troopers at the polls on election day in certain key states.

It will be interesting to see how the Republican party will try to reconstitute itself after Trump is gone. Or even if it can. Just can't scream "socialism" and/or fear and what you need to hate or be afraid of at every election and expect to win. Eventually, even the uniformed will figure out what socialism really is and how this country and their lives are dependent upon and benefit from socialist principles. Heck, they may even discover science.

RINO's (they really are R in name only) have spent the past couple of decades cobbling together hate groups, single issue voters, lesser educated whites and rural voters along with their diminishing once Republican base (people, mostly older, who vote R regardless) in order to maintain power. Power is all they are concerned about these days. Legislating is an afterthought. McConnell (who also needs to go) can't even move the Republican Senate to put together a second relief package in the face of maybe the worst crisis in American history. Who thinks it's okay to put people out on the street during a pandemic? And these clowns are in public service?

AT (after Trump), we'll still continue to see the conspiracy clowns elected from "R" pockets like Louie Gohmert and Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz and Devin Nunes and Ted Yoho and so, so many others (who actually casts a vote for these clowns?), but as time passes it will become much more difficult for R's to be elected statewide, let alone nationally. True, the political pendulum swings back and forth. But will it swing back to a party with no guiding principles and built upon such a volatile, fragmented base? Difficult to see that happening without some traumatic event or situation or total screw up by Dems. Bet the old Republican leaders (these Lincoln Republicans) will move to build something new rather than trying to salvage what remains. TBD. Will be interesting to see.

Well, in lighter news. My cousin lives in Myrtle Beach (North, to be exact). She had to stick her lawn chair in the water to get six feet away from people. This is the Myrtle Beach that sees less people, not South Myrtle Beach (mini-golf capital of the world).

Herman Cain died of COVID today after attending Trump’s Tulsa rally. Not sure he got it there, but this stupid mask-less thinking permeating the GOP because it will somehow help Trump has now led to the death of one of their own.

I’d like to think this will lead to a change in tune, but since the GOP continues to let kids be murdered in schools by refusing to regulate guns, I don’t hold out much hope.

For the economic types out there, on a scale of 1-“we’re back” where do you rank a 10% quarterly drop in gdp?

Now that’s a Hail Mary. I wonder if the far right establishment will jump on board to replace Trump on the ballot in November.

This is smelling like a constitutional crisis no matter how you slice it. I wonder what would happen if hackers push Trump to victory by carrying New York and California. Now that would be a mess.

If that happened, suddenly this election Trump claims is illegitimate would be very legitimate.

So are ppl still doing the both sides thing here? Willis? Or is threatening to end American democracy enough to make you realize that maybe, just maybe, Joe Biden is a better choice than Trump?

45 does appear to be telegraphing a loss in November by complaining about election results. Traditionally absentee ballots have normally helped Republicans?

I'm actually surprised we don't see more of an effort at this as a matter of strategy. I would have to think most Republicans know they'd have a much better chance of winning not just the White House, but also everything down ballot, if they found a way to replace him.

Yeah as far as Military personnel are concerned, they are usually voting pretty favaorably republican and they account for plenty of the absentee ballots. Not sure about the rest.

Hey Bob....do you live in Haddonfield? What a great town. You lucky enough to live in one of those old Tudors? Main Street always reminded me of a town straight out of Charles Dickens. I lived in Cherry Hill for a few years and always enjoyed driving up to Haddonfield to eat and shop.

One would think those who voted for Trump are suffering from buyer's remorse, but many would deny that and will continue to support him. Proof that truth is again stranger than fiction when folks refuse to admit they were wrong.

I do live in Haddonfield, but not in a Tudor. Moved here 47 years ago from Birmingham, Michigan. Originally from Indy and was graduated from Tech High. Joined the army after high school and then started to Butler after being discharged from service. We love it here! All three of the kids were graduated from HMHS. We have a daughter here, another daughter in Orlando and a son in Moorestown who is a Purdue grad. (I feel remiss for not giving him the special Purdue grad present--a pair of white socks and a string tie!) Our HS football team, due to construction, played a season at CH-West and the basketball team played two seasons at CH-East for the same reason.
A great place to live, but the average Haddonfield property tax bill is slightly over $13,000.
