Had a very vivid dream last night. NCAA announced a two game in conference schedule for teams to get ready and then the NCAAT would be played. All without fans. Brackets would be affected by the two game conference schedule. There were pairings and everything. No conference tourney, no conference champion. Just two games and then off to the dance.

Then I woke up all disappointed.

First night alone in two weeks...I may have slept 2-3 hours. I am wildly tired with a plate full of way too much work today.

Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen

Also pretty much anything by Michael Lewis. The Fifth Risk is extremely topical right now - and obviously Moneyball and The Big Short.

    The Art of War
The View from Flyover Country (Sarah Kendzior is my favorite journalist today)
The 42 Laws of Power (up next on the list)
Then a bunch of business books I can suggest in a separate list, but I don’t know what type of work you do.

I enjoy economics and entrepreneurial reads if that’s what you mean by “business.” If by “business” you mean selling then god no haha.

Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds - Charles Mackay

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one. Charles Mackay, L.L.D.

Exactly what I mean. Here are a few on my list I have yet to read that come highly recommended:

    Zero to One
    The zero marginal cost society
Fortune at the bottom of the pyramid
    The Innovators Dilemma
    The Victorian Internet
    The Black Swan
    Crossing the Chasm

Wasn’t sure where to put this but I’m sure most of us have been to one before...tough call by Gary but probably the right one. Hope to see him land on his feet with something else in the sports casual scene.

This could very well be a common theme that could continue to repeat itself concerning local and family owned business.

My brother in law just decided to close his Irish pub after a very successful 10 year run. Many more coming.
