Basketball isn’t the only sport having trouble. Football recruiting needs to step up too. Yet another year of zero draft picks. Smh. Too many low major guys.

In addition to watching the main teams, coaches have also watched the younger teams from IN Heat & Elite and The Family...

 

Brown playing right now, yesterday went for 7/4/3 in a loss in the morning, the afternoon did not have player details (they lost) this morning he had 6 pts and an assist in 14 minutes. His team has been, um, less than stellar. But he got 20 minutes in one game, 14 in another. The 1130 am tip box should be out in a couple hours. Hopefully if Emerson is here he's taking in some of Brown as well and showing him some love. That flame burns pretty brightly right now, I hope we can lock it down before the ACC gets too involved.

 

DePaul signed 3 four star recruits in their 2019 class. DePaul. Do you like being last in the Big East?

 

I don't want Butler to be last in Big East recruiting, but I am not sure I want the staff looking to DePaul for inspiration, either:

I don't look for inspiration. I look for a staff who's good enough to recruit talent and develop players. Add Charlie Moore to that list and they've simply been doing it better than us.

Pick another BE program then. Nova has 4 incoming guys that are 4/5 stars. X has 4 incoming guys that are 4 stars. There's nothing wrong with having high expectations when you're competing against those types of programs.

Remember, we signed up for this. It's the national stage & high major basketball. How that's waaaaaaay too unrealistic for some people is sad.

 

If you are expecting Butler to compete with Villanova in recruiting in the near future, you really are crazy. That is just not happening.

Bryce Golden - 3 Stars (chose Butler over Georgetown, Illinois and Syracuse...)

So you’re upset a couple 3 star guys aren’t rated 4 stars by the internet? That’s your take?

Maybe have some faith that LaVall is better at talent evaluation and roster construction than yourself?
