That was basically my point: DePaul isn't a good example for what you're trying to say. But then again the two best examples - Seton Hall and Creighton - are more similar to Butler than not. All three typically overachieve relative to their talent.

So Lowery saw Indiana Elite this week (Leal and Galloway I assume were the targets; I like Tre Coleman from Jeffersonville as kind of a 2nd tiered/backup wing option; Lander played for the 2020 team, but will probably be able to go wherever he wants)...any idea who Emerson might have been looking at? I thought I saw he was watching All Ohio Red at one point in Atlanta, but I don't recognize any names in their box score?

I watched Emerson watch the Indy Heat game against Boo Williams, where you had Furst & Pack and Powell made me a believer he might be a high major player

Anyone catch your eye on Boo Williams? I know have really started recruiting the DMV area these past few years and Boo Williams is always a strong program coming out of that area.

Yes, their two big guys JT Thor who is top 12 in 2021 and Mark Williams whose top 50 in to 2020. They both were super impressive. Thor is definitely the better college player, but Mark Williams at 7'1 has an absolute enormous wingspan and moves really well for someone that size. And little ol Nijel Pack had a couple of nasty floaters on both of them.

Looks like Jake Heidbreder from Floyds Knobs averaged 22, 6 & 5 over the weekend. 6'4 SG.

You illustrated the point nicely Lukas. If we recruited better, we could probably win this conference.

One thing I would like to add would be that it appears, to this point, LaVall can spot talent. Remember last summer when Butler offered Jaxon Hayes before he blew up? He went to Cincy Moeller which is traditionally a football power. If you look back to the archives of Jaxon Hayes (you should to see how you all reacted) he didn’t even have a 247 profile when LaVall offered and was mentioned he would be a redshirt project to back up Brunk. In other words: somebody on this forum suggested that Hayes (at the time of the offer) was not as good as Fowler or Brunk. Now he is a projected 1-and-done lottery pick.

What does this mean? Who knows. But what I take away from it is that LaVall knew what he saw early on. Until LaVall and staff start whiffing on guys, I think it is best to withhold judgment on them offering, what many on this board consider, mid-major talent.

To play devils advocate, it wasn’t hard to to tell that Hayes was a lot better than his offer list when we offered.

Saw an article online that he's got interest from Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and X. Also mentioned an unofficial visit to UK.

He definitely was intriguing to watch on Indy Heat. Deceptive athleticism. Really solid handles. Hit an absolute dagger 3, smooth in transition with a hand in the face. He was overall a very smooth, deceptive player can score at all 3 levels, unselfish, was the second best player in the game against Boo Williams behind Pack

Give 'em hell LJ. These are program changing guys we need. We might not beat the UK's but every one else should be in our league. Look at the difference a coach who can recruit made at all of those schools.

This is probably a pipedream, but my hope is that Butler can end up with Eugene Brown, Tyler Beard, and Caleb Furst.

Different classes...Furst is a 2021. Give me Vescovi, Brown, then either Pack/Cross/Beard
