Awesome for Ron though, kid is a leader through and through and will do great things in Charlotte.
Full circle right. He gets to coach Jenna Walker.
One of the younger ones in modern NBA history, but the league still had player-coaches as recently as the late 60s. You had some really young guys in those roles.
You're right there were about 40 player-coaches, here's the list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Basketball_Association_player-coaches
It would take some time to calculate their ages at the time they were coaches, more time than I have for the topic - but I would be surprised if any were player-coaches before they turned 28, but maybe.
Dave DeBusschere was 24 when he became head coach of the Pistons.
Goodness, I guess Ronald is just a johnny-come-lately
If he's not a head coach by 35, I guess we'll have to call him a late bloomer!
Maybe a "Ronnie-come-lately"
Listen to this interview with Ron from today. Quite long but excellent speaking about his coaching and Butler
Interesting. Stunning how far he has gone in such a short time in the coaching profession.
Obviously he has that drive to be successful.
