Good info godogs91. Baldwin's 2 point shots make percentage (not at the rim) seems disgustingly low. Not sure what the average is for a guard?

He takes soooooo many inefficient jumpers. Worst shot in basketball... there's a reason most guards don't have a mid range game any more. Seems pretty clear he forces lots of bad shots and the coaches want that/aren't curtailing it. I don't understand why that is. It's also perplexing how little he gets fouled considering how much he shoots.

Been saying it all year... McD needs more looks. A contested 3 for him is a statistically better shot than a Baldwin 2.

It is time to end this nonsense! Quit comparing teammates and what they do and can't do.

This is an amazing stat- Sean McDermott has only five turnovers in 15 games.

This is one reason why he is the most efficient offensive player in the country.

He is shooting 45% from three, 76% on two point attempts and 85% from the free throw line. He is the team’s second leading scorer and second leading rebounder.

Dakich showing McD some well deserved love today. Said BU was state's top team and Sean is the type of player IU is missing when getting the top recruits in state.

Honestly, IU people always say "Oh we missed on this guy and Butler got him" but it's not like they don't get talented 18-year-olds to come play for them. They just don't develop. Miller is on his third year, same as LaVall, and no IU player has developed like McDermott has in those three years. Obviously Sean is great and deserves credit for working so hard, but the culture at Butler and the coaches are way different here. IU fans like Dakich say this all the time and they miss that IU just doesn't have the culture of hard work that Butler has now. 90% of IU players for the last decade just never got better. If they got McDermott I don't think he would reach this level.

McDermott is unique though maybe because he nearly died in high school and people wrote him off even people that didn’t know him- like on this board. Even LJ said no one works harder than Sean. Butler is a perfect place though for kids like Sean , KB, Battles and JMM. The reason why Butler kids excel above their recruiting rank is the culture. That culture like a mission statement is clearly laid out in the Butler Way. What is IU’s culture?

Actually the conversation with Dakich was about athletes vs shooters.

However this season ends with whatever success this year is based a lot off of what sean has done for the team this year in all three areas
    Offense,defense,and leadership

We have seen this with so many players at butler through the years it is so very true
We have a tradition at butler if you come in unknown and work hard you will leave a winner, part of a family, and a top notch basketball player

Where will BU be in a year is easier to answer than pondering what the culture is at IU.
