clueless- agree with everything you said except we did beat K State, Xavier and played Marquette well to name a few. My problem with this board is way too many on here “ know” what transpired , who had a winning attitude , who had a losing attitude , who was told to leave or they heard from someone close to the program who said. It’s all bullshit. This past season has been the worst season in my memory and that is on everyone connected to the program. I know a good number of alums that feel the same way and aren’t seeing the roses.

Please appease anyone with facts not innuendo just once. These are players that you said were told to leave. Who was told to leave. Come on don’t hide.

Enjoy that extra $5 when you win… don’t spend it all in one place!

$5 can't even get you something decent a McD's anymore, not that anything they have is decent, other than their fries.

I'm in agreement though, the act is tired and its time to punt. Granted the mods do next to nothing here...but if they care they'll punt.

And Fuuck Simas. Two years in a row he's entered the portal and let's not forget that eastern euro pansy had a mean with an IU person on Butler's campus last year. That's basically super treason. I can't wait until he commits elsewhere so this horrible chapter is over.

I might not be everyone's cup of tea and I'm 100 percent fine with that.

Have to agree with Willis here. Commit somewhere already so we can put this thread in archives. If you must speak of Simas, we can always start another, broader discussion on "soft" players at B.U., although, that might be a short list since that hasn't necessarily been an overriding problem for the Bulldogs. (Energy and enthusiasm, yes.) On the other hand, players who can actually shoot (and score) with some consistency, now that is a real issue. Still don't know why we won't/can't/don't recruit shooters (maybe Bizjack is an omen for the future, TBD.)

Speaking of soft, who is softer....Simas or Nate Fowler? Fowler actually had some basketball skills, as does Lukosius. Ever remember seeing Nate dunk the ball in game action? Many times I would watch Fowler play D and see him actually back away from contact when players penetrated the paint. Every single time! Have never seen that before. Coaches had to have seen that on tape. They, too, were AWOL. What a waste of 6 - 10. And Simas, what a waste of 6 - 6 and 225. And to boot, he doesn't even bleed Butler blue. Good bye. No loss here.

    Agree.

Hey folks, if you don't like someone's perspective just hit the ignore button on their profile. Telling someone to leave is immature. There are plenty of j*ckasses on this board (me included).

Simas got swatted going to the basket more often than flies at a picnic.

He was never fully committed and for that, I'll never like him. Good and bad moments...dude was never a bulldog while always looking for a way out. We took a gamble on him and it failed, miserably.

I thought he had incredible potential at first, and he had a few great moments. I lost hope in him at the St. John’s game at Hinkle. He had two of the worst turnovers I’ve seen in the last two minutes, and missed 2 free throws as well that could have clinched. Lucky they won that one.

Like most others on here, if Luko wants to go chase NIL money, I'm not going to blame him as much as I am the system, but I'm also not going to cry about his leaving, either.

I can't vouch for what kind of teammate he was, but I can say with confidence that he made great strides in his game throughout his time at Butler. The main issue is that we needed him (or someone) to be the alpha, and Luko wasn't ready for that, at least not as a Sophomore. I think he has a good future at another program, and regardless of the terms he leaves Butler on, I look forward to following his career.

But once again, in what is becoming the theme of this off-season, it's time to move on.

I think that's fair. He's ideally a third or fourth option on a good team. Just doesn't have the quickness and athleticism to be a #1 scorer.

Sounds like he’s headed to Cincinnati according to their 247 board
