4??? They have been irrelevant since that '04/05 team with Deron Williams.

Anyway, kid seems like a good shooter. Is he redundant with Neese? You can never have too many shooters, but both Neese and David can really shoot it, and I'd prefer some more athleticism. Someone who can easily get to the rack. That's important in the BE.

They won a tournament game in 2011 and 2013. I'd consider that relevant.

As for Finke, I've never seen him play, so I'm not going to evaluate him personally. But he has a flood of high major offers and is a unanimous top 100 recruit. ESPN has him at 55. I love Neese myself, but just based on that he's not a guy you worry about being redundant with. Finke is tall enough to play the 3 so you can play them together if they are both good enough. He's actually listed as a SF some places.

Posted this in another thread, but Finke also had his parents along and his mom in particular seemed pretty excited about the comeback. Never hurts to have mom impressed:). They sat next to Cooper Neese, so guessing he was doing a lil recruiting also.

Saw him first row yesterday behind the Butler bench. 247 says he is 6'6, which I would say is pretty accurate. He's got pretty good size.

Back to back dunks and a blocked shot in last 32 seconds. Finke finished with 18 points in Champaign Central's 68-59 win against Mahomet-Seymour on Tuesday.

Lol! I missed PSUButlerFan's post on my first reading, so your response really threw me off. I thought you were doing the point/counterpoint thing with yourself. ;)

It's really not much more beyond what I'd posted, at least in regards to Butler. Has a good relationship with Illinois for the obvious reasons.

Ok. Thanks. I know about the Illinois relationship (don't we all). But would be nice to snag him. If Illinois misses the field this year, that may help us. Thoughts?

I think if John Groce gets dismissed Butler certainly has a better shot.
