It’s really cool after a game to see all the little kids shooting. Like old school high school basketball was. Everyone just milling around and talking and the little ones playing

Yeah my buddy from Marquette had been trying to get to a game for a few years and he came for that one. He was a good sport about the loss and gotta say it was a great game but nowhere near as much fun as the Gonzaga game or Nova game when Kamar stole the ball in front of the bench.

Best I have ever been at was 2010 Final 4 and NC games in Indy! I hope something rivals this during my lifetime!!

I think I would switch the OSU game and the UWM game in this list. That UWM game really had an incredible atmosphere after years of failing to sell the barn out. Bruce Pearl was such a dick, and he liked to get into a back and forth with the student section. It was senior day. Was probably the fastest court rush I have ever witnessed. This was a rivalry game at the time. Just from an emotional end energy standpoint, this game was right there with the Gonzaga game.

Off topic a bit, but for those who might recall, some of the mascot games were brutal with as fans roared with laughter. There were real injuries that took place. Anyone remember the Wonder Bread mascot who basically was totally immobile wandering aimlessly around at center court. He was accused of loafing but later admitted he was suffering from a yeast infection. Another time Hink was blasted into the stands, attempting a layup by Max, while later Erma was hurt after having her head literally knocked off. What an entertaining halftime treat. Another memory was Hink on all 4s, hiking his back leg up next to the Loyola huddle during a timeout. He was later admonished by the AD and removed from the court. Classic BU shenanigans !

The Wonder Bread mascot & Twinkie the Kid were my favorites.

Over 20 years ago, I played in a few mascot broom ball games for the local Indy hockey team. Our first action as the "puck" dropped was to put the broomstick through the Dairy Queen mascot's curlicue atop its soft-serve head and pull it down onto the ice. It then spun in place for the rest of the game.
