This kid would get serious NIL cash from Miami.

In the NIL Era, if Miami wants someone, they get that person until proven otherwise.

Isn't that thinking a little less so, given the recent turn of events?

I agree. I know that both Xavier and his father had met with LJ and now with Thad and his staff here it can’t hurt! Maybe he wants to stay close to home.

Being able to watch Manny Bates under Thad, this year, surely can't hurt.

Longterm that should be the hope but going to be a lot harder right now cause Rags was the lead recruiter for most the previous staff's 2023 offers including Booker.

I've been out of the country on vacation and working away from home for two weeks. Was a collective formed to hand out 6 figure NIL deals while I was gone? A win here should be just getting him to make the 15 minute drive to campus this fall for an unofficial

Good luck to this kid - feels like the most hype around an in-state prospect since Romeo in my opinion. I really hope he stays at Cathedral for his SR season and I really hope he doesn't go to IU - I'd rather see him go to a Duke or UK to be honest, as IU is just going to waste his talent like they have with TDJ.

Booker has the type of shooting skills that translate to the NBA. Whether he is a 1 and done, remains to be seen.

If not Butler, hope he goes to Gonzaga

Do you thinknthe prospects of Bates playing another year at Butler could have been a factor at all? I get your point about NIL $ but I guess I'm still hopeful that our new staff will be able to make some recruiting splashes.

No doubt Booker could be a one and done based on potential. He has the type of skills that the NBA is looking for. Still, he needs to get much stronger at this point. Nor am I convinced he will be a 5 at the next level. JMO
