It's ALWAYS NICE to win a Big East Championship! (It was painful to have a "0" next to Butler's name for so long.)

Thanks, Lady Dawgs & Mr. Makepeace!

Butler men win their first Big East Championship at NC State's course in North Carolina. Dawgs had 3 runners in the top 5.

    Women were 4th.

Weird year, but always fun to see the school do well in whatever it might be.

I gotta ask, why are the Big East Championships at NC State?

Guessing wanting decent weather and its just a nice course. ACC ran their conference meet there this past fall.

Big East Golf and Tennis have their championships in South Carolina and that's not unusual for them.

Women won the title last year, maybe that's what you're thinking of? Butler did have the individual male champ last year as well.

Mens team finished 28th (of 31 complete teams). Northern Arizona won ahead of Iowa State & Oklahoma State

    Individually
    Simon Bedard was 60th
    Barry Keane 100th
    Pierre-Louis Detourbe 185th
    Will Minnette 196th
    Clarke Otte 218th
    Jack McMahon 232nd
    Evan Byrne 237th

Looks like most of the started pretty sensibly and then worked their way through the field as others tired, except for Keane who must have hit the wall over the last 1K dropping 41 places.

Connor Mentz of BYU won, beating Wesley Kiptoo (Iowa State) into 2nd and Campbell's Athanas Kioko 3rd.
