Can I just take the top row and pay the luxury tax? Kidding!

    G - Thompson
    G - McDermott
    F - Campbell
    F - Hayward
    F/C - Howard

6th - Barlow for extra ball handling

Need some ball handling coming off the bench, but a big, great shooting team with a distributor playing point. I started with Hayward & Howard and worked backwards from that.

Clarke and Dunham are not getting a lot of love on this.
Clarke was a total game changer. Look at that roster and we're 9-27 without him. So much youth.
Dunham AVG 16+ Soph-SR year and shot .429 from 3 his SR year. Would love to add Kelan, but ran out of money.

Glad you're enjoying it. I've done them before for the NBA Draft (the $15 budget game was certainly not my brainchild but they are fun haha). Felt like we needed a little something different to talk about haha.

Crazy to me how little love Howard getting here. Was the absolute GLUE for all 4 years as a Dawg. And Kamar not getting a lot of votes (both with 8) is crazy. I know it is a function of the money cap, but wow.

I think the question becomes - do you select KB's skill set over Hayward or Mack? Martin? probably not.

Yeah I guess it's hard to justify Howard at $5 just based on stats when the other $5 guys are Hayward, Mack, Kelan, and Kamar. But like you said he would definitely be the glue guy for this team.

Almost as much fun as discussing the monster that came from China.

Depends if it is a tight game then I’m all over Kamar. Interesting how many picked Sean.

Figured recency bias would play into it quite a bit.

But looking at the other centers, Howard ranks as the best of those 5. So, that's how he got on the $5 line.

Yes I agree. I just meant if I had to spend $5 if would probably be for a guard or a forward and try to make up some of the money on the center.

I just don’t see it. Gordon as a soph was talented enough to be taken #9 overall. Kelan couldn’t make the NBA as a senior, and just now is a fringe NBA player while Gordon is an All Star/Max contract guy (I think, right) who averaged 15ppg for his career.

I know Kelan could take over games on the offensive end, but Gordon is just way more talented. Also, Gordon was 10x the defensive player.

Some of them are friends with Kelan. I get that.

I’m certainly taking sophomore Gordon over senior Kelan myself. But I do think it’s close enough that it’s not crazy if you’re looking at where they were in those years and not where they ended up/were at at comparable ages. Gordon got taken 9th overall because he was that good and had just turned 20 a few months earlier. If sophomore Kelan was as good as senior Kelan, he’s a first round pick.
