    Hey Everyone! While we are having what appears to be a strong portal season with an encouraging freshman class. I have been looking into upgrading this board to a new platform, let me know your thoughts, opinions, I believe doing this also I can transfer over the history but not 100% on that yet.

    It would allow to modernize, not have crashing issues like we've seen. updated support, should be able to post links/images/gifs from just about everywhere

    As far as I have been told and read XenForo can be imported to the current site I'm looking at, will call and confirm before anything concrete is done

    Small thing but on other boards if you reply to a long post, the original shows a few lines and then you can expand to see the whole thing if you want. Saves on a lot of scrolling.

    I pretty much only use the crappy old app so I’d love an updated app but will use my desktop if necessary. Count me in regardless of increased cost - although I’m a lurker I am an obsessive follower of the discussions.

    @estar20dawg Thanks for your lead on this. The current platform suits my needs just fine. I’m good with $10/year which is the VIP boost. However if a new/updated platform gives added value for all, I’m in. I surely don’t want to be priced out of these valuable discussions and resources. Let’s keep it accessible for all.

    Certainly open to migrating if:
    - has a supported mobile app (I have drastically reduced my posting and use of the board because of this. Browser-based posting just isn't great, and once the old mobile app started acting funny, was easier to just not be on here.)
    - keeps user and thread history (this is useful especially in portal discussions, e.g. "didn't we reach out to so-and-so two years ago?")
    - cost remains similar (sounds like this is already under consideration, A+)
